France – Blanville

About the Winery

Blanville is a family wine estate and a beloved infant.  Blanville is not an inherited estate, nor was it purchased as is.  Since 1997, it has been built as a start-up, parcel by parcel, to realize the full vision.  The team and all the processes have been designed to craft the best parcel wines  the vineyard can produce and to reveal the beauty of the terroir.  As a result of 20 years of parcel identification and acquisition, Blanville encompasses several domains, each of them being a unique combination of a vineyard of one outstanding terroir plus the parcel wines crafted from the grapes of this terroir.  Located in south-western France in the Languedoc-Roussillon, an area currently renowned as one of the most interesting and dynamic wine regions in the world.   The vineyards have a stunning location 200m above sea level overlooking a landscape that includes the Mediterranean Sea.  The vineyards soils coupled with the sea spray, contribute to the freshness and mineralogy of the wines.
